Picking Up the Car
May 17th, 2006
I was truely excited as the car was ready for pickup. A few days before, I have done the initial check-up of the car, and also the JPJ registration, and now I am all ready to sign some documents and take the car home. I arrange for the car pickup in the evening afte work, and manage to get my colleague to drive me to the workshop. The sales agent was eager to get this done with, she was pushing documents up to me to sign. I took the time to go thorugh some of them and filled up the feedback form. She also provided a list of things to check on the car, but I’ve already done that a few days before, therefore, I just went through it and signed at the bottom.
The petrol gauge was at ‘E’ when I took the car out of the workshop. My old Wira could still got another 100km when the light came up, and so I wanted to try out where is the limit of this car. How far I could go when the light comes up or when the fuel indicator is at ‘E’. After driving 20km or so, I got impatient and went to fill the tank up. Out of the 42 liter of capacity, the petrol fill up to 39.6 liter, which is almost empty..
