My Alza Fuel Consumption drops to 12.5km/l
![]()
I have just finish the 10k service and had took a long journey down south over the holiday weekend. The fuel consumption of the car have saturated to around 12.5km/l as you can see on the bottom Moving Average chart. I have been using Shell Ron 95 & 97 (for the first few pumps) all this while and in the previous post a few fellow drivers suggest that other fuel providers will have a better performance. Currently I have 28 data points exceeding 30 data points I will switch to another fuel provider to measure the performance.

I suggest you use other brand of petrol beside shell. I used RON95, BHP, give me the best mileage and power.
100% City drive = 12.8km/l – BHP RON95
i am stopping ron 97 shell for officially today since the price go rm 2.50
also i use ron 97 shell from day 1 in may 2010
now i am switching to ron 95 caltex for quiet engine
or perhaps bhp ron 95
Yea, it is really not affordable to pump Ron 97 anymore these days…
40 litre x Rm 2.50 = RM100
40 litre x Rm1.90 =RM76
RM24 difference just to pay extra for Ron 97

Hi,
My Alza fuel consumption is quite high, 22 cents per km (80% city drive, stop and go, traffic light, jam, 20% highway).
Tires 195/55/R15 and mileage 2000km.
I used all kinds of petrol and they yield about the same results.
Is this normal because of just 2000km mileage?
Hi KK, It is a little abnormal. I suggest you complaint this to the service center to have them checkout.
Any more update of other petrol brand? Looking forward on your useful information.
I have a few more pumps since the last update and from other petrol brands, will post the update soon.
