Sometimes Sweet, Sometimes Sour, but never Bitter

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad is having an additional train from North to KL. This additional train leaves 30 minutes earlier than the regular Express Langkawi. The regular Express Langkawi departs Butterworth at 9.30pm and arrives in KL at 6.45am the next morning. This additional train is only for the Raya Season and the best part of it is that the price is 50% off the regular price. However, this train has only Second Class Seats and Third Class seats. There is no Sleeping Bunk. The regular Express Langkawi still has some Sleeping Bunks left. This is the only train that serves the northern region, and this train origins from Hatjai and stops at KL Cental. Many years ago, I remembered there were many trains servisig the northern region, they used to have the morning train, and then the afternoon train, and the midnight express train, that has fewer stops. I guess it gradually reduce in service and now only left one train a day. I bought a couple of First Class Sleeping Bunks (2PLUS) that cost RM126, about RM40 more than the second Class Sleeping Bunks. I have not taken the first class bunks before and would like to try it out, and so did not mind the small overhead. More info at www.ktmb.com.my

OneHost was recently out for almost a week and together my blog with it. I am glad to be finally back… I was worried for a while that this company close shop… After a few days of blackout, a mail was sent out by the administrator assuring the customers that they are working on the problem. I guess they must have received tons of calls or emails regarding the black out. Anyway, I take it as a blog break.. hehe… seeing it from a brighter side. —–
