The Malaysia Way of Life
Though I am not speaking for all Malaysians, especially those well to do, but I do feel most of the Malsians who are middle income group do feel the same. The question is, Why should we pay more? If I can get a reasonably quality bread for RM2, why would I want to pay RM4 for the same quality or slightly better? It all comes down to affordability. I could affort a pirated CD at RM4, but i could not afford an original CD at RM40. I could afford to have CK in wharehouse sale for RM30, but could not afford CK in the boutique for RM200. I could affor to have my car fix at RM352, but could not replace the entire damage part at RM840. (Mithiz)
The question is, am I a cheapscake*? Or just living the Malaysian Way of Life?
* Cheapscake – not sure the exact spelling, but a Malaysian lingo to describe a person who is stingy or sometimes miser. Cheapo is also sometimes used. Recently updated Photoblog:
