On Christmas day, not everyone is on holiday. I received a mail from Grabmyads, a new monetary site for bloggers, and in Ringgit Malaysia too. Firstly, I wonder how they got my email address? I wonder if this is a spinoff from nuffnang or advertlets. Nevertheless, I am happy that they sent me a mail, so that I could sign up. But then, on the sign up process, I am required to provide full name (which is fine), address (which is also fine), IC/Passport number (hymmm, why do they need this?), Race & Religion (huh?) and bank account number (this is where i draw the line).
In a nutshell, I was rather interested to join a new blog monetary company, but I was not willing to give out too much of a personal informations, especially bank account numbers to a new company that has no track reputation.
Why can’t they be like Google, no IC needed, no need to say race and religion and best of all, no need to give bank account number. If google can do it, why can’t grabmyads.
